One of the questions we hear most often is:
“How far away are your families?”
The answer always makes us smile.
Some live just a few minutes from us here in Pennsylvania.
Others drive several hours.
Some even book a flight because they believe the right puppy—and the right breeder—is worth the trip.
We don’t expect families to choose us simply because we’re the closest Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder on the East Coast.
We hope they’ll choose us because they trust how we raise our puppies, the relationships we build with our families, and the care that goes into every step of the journey.
For us, bringing home a puppy isn’t just another purchase.
It’s the beginning of a relationship that we hope lasts for many years.

Judy’s Cavaliers is proudly located in Pennsylvania, but our puppies have found loving homes throughout the Mid-Atlantic, up through New England, and as far away as Florida and Missouri.
Over the years we have placed puppies with more than 60 families in 12 states. They have come from:

Families from Pennsylvania
Being located in Pennsylvania allows many families to make an easy day trip when it’s time to meet their puppy.
Some drive an hour.
Others spend several hours on the road.
Either way, we love welcoming families to our home, introducing them to their puppy, and answering questions before they begin the drive home together.
Families from Maryland and Delaware
For many families in Maryland and Delaware, we’re often just a comfortable drive away.
Many families tell us they’d rather spend a few extra hours in the car if it means working with a breeder they trust.
We understand that completely.
Choosing where your puppy comes from is an important decision, and we believe it’s worth taking the time to find a breeder whose values align with your own.
Families from Virginia
We’ve been blessed to work with families from all across Virginia, from Northern Virginia to communities farther south.
Some make the trip in one day.
Others choose to stay overnight nearby and make the journey home the following morning.
We’re always happy to answer questions ahead of time so families know exactly what to expect before they arrive.
Families from New Jersey and New York
Many of our families come from New Jersey and New York, especially those looking for a smaller, family-focused breeding program rather than a large commercial operation.
For some, it’s only a few hours away.
For others, it’s a full day’s drive.
Either way, we’re grateful every time someone places their trust in us.
Families from New England
Some of our families have driven down from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. They often tell us the drive gives them time to get excited, talk about names, and prepare for the newest member of their family.
By the time they head home, they’re not just bringing home a puppy.
They’re beginning a brand-new chapter together.
Those are memories we never get tired of hearing about.
Is It Worth Traveling for a Puppy?
We certainly think so—but not because we’re special.
We think it’s worth traveling whenever you find a breeder whose priorities match your own.
When choosing a breeder, you’re choosing much more than a puppy.
You’re choosing the care they received during their first eight weeks.
You’re choosing the breeder’s health practices.
You’re choosing their approach to socialization.
You’re choosing whether they’ll still answer the phone months after your puppy comes home.
Those things matter far more than the number of miles between us.
Many of our families tell us they spent weeks—or even months—researching breeders before deciding to make the trip.
We consider that a compliment.
Thoughtful families usually make thoughtful puppy owners.
What to Expect When You Pick Up Your Puppy
One of our favorite days is pickup day.
It’s the day names become faces.
Questions become conversations.
And families finally get to meet the puppy they’ve been dreaming about.
When you arrive, we’ll spend time introducing you to your puppy and answering any last-minute questions you may have.
We’ll go over your puppy’s information, discuss feeding and care, and make sure you feel comfortable before heading home.
Our goal isn’t to rush the process.
It’s to help you leave feeling confident and excited about the journey ahead.
Can Families Fly In?
Yes.
While many of our families drive, we’ve also worked with families who choose to fly into Pennsylvania before bringing their puppy home.
If you’re traveling from farther away, we’re happy to discuss the logistics with you ahead of time so you can make plans that are comfortable for both your family and your puppy.
Every family’s situation is different, and we’re always glad to talk through the options together.
Our Relationship Doesn’t End at Pickup
Bringing your puppy home is a wonderful milestone, but it’s not the end of our relationship.
Questions don’t stop after pickup day.
In fact, that’s often when new ones begin.
We’re here to help with feeding questions, training encouragement, transitions into your home, and the little moments that come with welcoming a new puppy into the family.
We believe responsible breeding means walking alongside our families long after they leave our driveway.
